Mbappe signs Real Madrid deal

Kylian Mbappe has officially signed a contract to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, set to take effect when his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) expires on June 30. The 25-year-old French striker had verbally agreed to the move in February and publicly announced in May his intention to leave PSG at the end of the season.bonus of 150 million euros

Mbappe's contract with Real Madrid extends until 2029, with an annual salary of 15 million euros (£12.8 million) and a substantial signing-on bonus of 150 million euros (£128 million) distributed over five years. Additionally, he will retain a percentage of his image rights.

Real Madrid plans to announce the signing officially next week and may present Mbappe at the Bernabeu before the start of Euro 2024. This move reunites him with the Croatian midfielder Luka Modric, who is expected to sign a one-year extension with Real Madrid.

Mbappe, a key player for PSG and a World Cup winner in 2018, holds the club's all-time scoring record with 256 goals since joining from Monaco in 2017. His move to Real Madrid is seen as a significant boost to the team's attacking prowess, making them a formidable force in European football.

Madrid celebrated their recent success with a 15th European Cup title, defeating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at Wembley. The club will conduct a trophy parade in Madrid to commemorate this achievement
